Rinse Wash and Repeat
Cobb County

1. Don’t get use to me blogging 2 days in a row.

2. If you know me you will know that I hate forwarded mass emails and equally hate mass text messages.

That being said, I am going to pass this forwarded email I got as a blog post instead of circulating it to my entire inbox, half of which I know would care less. It’s about the county I was born in, grew up in, educated in, and currently living in!

If you live in Cobb County Georgia you may be surprised to know that compared to the rest of the country,or the world,  it is not a ‘normal’ place to live…..these facts may be good or bad…..but not your ‘normal’ county to rear children in or live in……

1.You live in one of the wealthiest counties in the United States…..which is one of the wealthiest countries in the world….. , if you take the 3,049 counties in the U.S. ,Cobb ranks in the top 100 income counties….that is the top 3%….the median household income is around $69,000 (median means half earn more, half less)…so you live in one of the wealthiest areas in the world…the entire world..

2.you live in the 12th most educated county in the U.S…..of 3049 counties……think about that…top 1% of most educated counties in the United States….

3.The population in your county is more than the total population in some states…..like  North Dakota….or South Dakota….or Alaska…..orVermont…..or Wyoming….

4.Cobb has over 500 restaurants, over 19,000 non farm businesses

5.Seven colleges and universities serve the county

6.Cobb County’s government is so fiscally consevative they are ranked AAA by the three major bond rating agencies in the U.S……making Cobb an elite bond rated county in the U.S.

Basically Cobb County told the other 158 counties in the state of Georgia to Shut Up! Today might be the first day I have ever said this but I’m proud to live in and educated in Cobb County!

UPDATE: If you watched the video above you will see that I am slightly a nerd and enjoy everything about the weather! Here are a few things about the weather I enjoy…Updates, Storm Trackers , Kirk Mellish, Open Mike, and much much more! Not going to lie some days I wonder what it would be like to be a meteorologist and get paid to study the weather in its entirety! Those that know me understand that this isn’t a recent development and that I have always been interested in the weather. My favorite activity as a child was freezing ice outside or forks stuck in a cup in the freezer?? Whatever it was interesting to me and still is!! Not to brag or anything but I have been know to predict the weather from time to time without checking any reports…I have documented experiences if you don’t believe me. I took a few meteorology classes in college and loved them and just recently put (meteorology and weather) as an interest on a job application! Listen, I’m not messing around about my weather. Thats all I got…If you need a weather prediction and hate listening to the news you can give me shout and I can inform you on anything you need to know…for a small fee! Here are a few pictures… Meteorologist Andrew Turner signing off.

One my favorite things to do as a kid was freeze cokes…Not so much my Moms Favortie!

One of my life long goals is to chase storms!

Nation Beware…One of the nations best meteorologist is lurking!

MY FAM

Where did the last 4,5,6, years of my life go? It seems like just yesterday the only thing that mattered was when and how long I could walk across the street and play, build, swim, and just hang out with my cousins. Insert the Bounds, my other family. It is easy for me to say that I have seven brothers and sisters, 3 Turners and 4 Bounds. I could go on and on about how awesome my childhood was (just hang out with all of us and you will here all of the crazy stories…WARNING: Stories will be repeated over and over at every family gathering). I don’t get sad thinking about all the fun times we use to have because we are still just as close. We might not be in the same neighborhood or even state but we have all made a point to stay connected over the years. It is crazy to think how different both families are (there are countless jokes that both families have on each other, some that we probably don’t even know about). I sometimes wonder why our families are so close? What is different about how we grew up? Why is it so important for all of us to stay connected? I think there is one KEY factor that can answer some of these questions. Our Mema! When she began to raise her kids (Dad, Aunt, Uncle) she realized the importance of the family in a time where family wasn’t all that important to some. She knew the importance that family has as it relates to support, encouragement, self-esteem, accountability, goal reaching, comfort, constant prayer, but most importantly setting the ground works for generations to come. I believe that Mema truly acted as the bible tells us in Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it”. Here is the best thing about our Mema though, she didn’t stop with her kids she continues to mentor and teach her grandchildren (and now great grand children) every moment she gets. She is the NEVER wavering base to our whole family. If you spend one day with her you will understand what I mean. I am not saying that our family is perfect by any stretch (far from it) but it has had the biggest impact on who I am today. It is my goal (those who know me should be scared when I set a goal) to raise my family with Christ at the center just as Mema and my parents, aunts, and uncles have done. I personally think I have the best brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles and grandparents there is. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for all of us in the future.

Here is a few pictures of my crazy family. (Come hang out with us and this Blog will make more sense)

Sorry about not being able to see my last video post…Im still learning how to do this thing you call blogging?! You should be able to see it now, and it’s still what I wish I was doing!

There are many days I wish this is what my day consisted of!

This goes out to Tyson Hill and his childhood

Perfect Partner in Crime

As my life becomes busier by the day there is NO ONE I would rather share it with than Macy! This would be the longest post of all time if I tried to tell you all the reasons why but here are just a few.

She is someone I can completely be myself around

Someone who I can (attempt) to dance with

Someone I can have fun with

Someone who has beautiful hair…I don’t expect anyone to understand this but its something I love

Someone that will do fun things with me that I cant imagine doing on my own

Someone that can just chill with me…sometimes not even talk for hours

This list could go on and on…Bottom line, life slows down when I’m with her and couldn’t imagine where I would be without my best friend and partner in crime
